About Kindred Barakah
My Experience
With 15 years of experience as a residential social worker for adolescents with challenging behavior, I've honed my skills in empathy and understanding. A graduate of the Dar Uloom Aalim program in 2007, I've since dedicated myself to education, teaching in Islamic schools for over a decade. As a crisis chaplain with the United States Chaplain Task Force, I provide spiritual support in times of need. Additionally, I'm a certified life and end-of-life coach, guiding individuals through life's transitions with compassion and insight. Currently, I share my passion for learning as a fifth-grade reading teacher in the public school system. Beyond the classroom, I'm an engaging public speaker, delivering talks on various aspects of Islam and personal development. With a commitment to education and service, I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
My Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and holistic support. Drawing from my 15 years of experience as a residential social worker and my background in Islamic education, I believe in meeting individuals where they are and guiding them with compassion and understanding. I view coaching as a collaborative journey where clients are empowered to explore their goals, navigate challenges, and unlock their potential. Through active listening, insightful questioning, and tailored guidance, I help clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and confidence. I believe in taking a holistic approach to coaching, addressing not only immediate goals but also considering clients' spiritual, emotional, and practical needs. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
